| Working experience and occupation | Mr Siew joined Sekhar & Tan, Chartered Accountants, as its Managing Partner at the beginning of 2009. Prior to that he served as the Managing Partner of one of the leading accounting firms in Malaysia. Mr Siew’s area of expertise is in auditing, financial reporting and corporate advisory. He had served as the audit engagement partner on many public listed companies. He was also involved in the role of Special Administrator for various public listed companies pursuant to the Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad Act, 1998 and successfully restructured them for re-listing. Besides having extensive experience in public accounting practice, Mr Siew had served for 4 years as the Finance Director of Malaysian Mosaics Berhad, a major diversified corporation listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad where he was involved in the reorganization of the Group, restructuring of banking and financing arrangements and mergers and acquisition besides improving the financing reporting systems. He is a member of the Developing Nations Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), a member of the Practice Review Committee of the MIA and the Public Practice, Technical and Financial Statement Review Committees of MICPA. He had served as a Board member of the Financial Reporting Foundation for two (2) terms. Mr Siew is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Emas Kiara Industries Berhad and appointed Chairman of its Audit Committee. Mr Siew was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad on 1 July 2010. |
