| Contents | The Directors of the Company wish to inform that the Group has incorporated a company with the name of Tan Chong Development Sdn Bhd under the Companies Act, 1965 on 3 June 2008 to carry on the business of property development. The Certificate of Incorporation of Tan Chong Development Sdn Bhd was received by the Group on 9 June 2008. Tan Chong Development Sdn Bhd has an authorised capital of RM100,000/- made up of 100,000 ordinary shares of RM1/- each and an issued and paid-up capital of RM2/-. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TC Heritage Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad. The above formation has no material effect on the earnings, gearing and net assets of the Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2008. None of the directors or substantial shareholders have any interest, direct or indirect, in the formation of the new company. This announcement is dated 9 June 2008. |
